As a fund-raiser, the Chetek Area Museum holds an Annual Hosta & White Elephant Sale in downtown Chetek. 
The next sale is Saturday, May 23, 2026 (NEW DAY), 9:00am-1:00pm.  The focus of the sale are hosta plants and herbs along with good condition White Elephant items.  Volunteers cultivate the plants and donate items for the sale.  All proceeds go to the Museum!

Special Events

In February 2015, the Chetek Area Museum welcomed local Cub Scout Den #21 to tour the Museum and go on a treasure hunt with a clipboard to identify museum artifacts.

The Chetek Area Museum welcomed  Leadership Barron County to tour the Museum in January.  It was cold, but there was a great turnout!
